Ross-Johnson Painting was started by David Ross and David Johnson. The painters had worked together in college painting for a real estate company. After trying other careers, they formed a partnership in 1984 in Mechanicsville, Virginia and acquired the necessary licenses and insurance to set up shop. This partnership ended in 1991 with David Ross purchasing David Johnson’s half of the company.
Since 1991, Ross-Johnson has concentrated its efforts in the residential repainting industry. Our company has been a part of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America since 1985. Through the PDCA’s numerous resources, we have been able to keep abreast of changes with products and applications. We attend many educational seminars given by the PDCA involving business and the painting industry in general. David served as president of the Richmond chapter of PDCA in 2002 and in 2005 served as president of the Middle Atlantic Council of the PDCA representing over 300 painting contractors in eight states.
Ross-Johnson is committed to improving ourselves and our industry through education and employing professional people and products. A small family owned company, Ross-Johnson now employs six people. David’s wife, Wanda, is the office manager and his son, Michael, became part owner in 2006. We look forward to serving the Richmond area for generations to come as well as provide long-term employment opportunities to our employees. Most importantly, we hope to enjoy lifelong relationships with our customers.
To be the most respected and sought after provider of residential and commercial painting and related services as well as to provide a family like work environment by providing competitive jobs with superior benefits.
“Extremely pleased with the job you did and will use you again.”
